In his dream Andrew Muhi receives a letter from Janka Smudgy asking for his help and so the little boy sets off to rescue her. Along his adventurous way he encounters the Snuffling English Poet, the Baby-faced Demon, the Sad Red Bucket, the Huge Giraffe-Bird, the Pigheaded Ballerina, the Sparrow-Legged Elephant, the Good Pirate Paul and, of course, the evil Blotch Tsar. But in the end everything turns out well and the new world becomes a place where dirty and clean both have a purpose.
