Three UNITER Award nominations for the creators of I Am the Wind, Gábor Tompa receives a Lifetime Achievement Award!

On February 25, the Romanian Theatre Association (UNITER) published the list of nominees for the 2025 UNITER Awards.

The jury made up of theatre critics Oana Borș, Mihai Brezeanu and Iulia Popovici nominated the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj and its production of I Am the Wind, directed by Gábor Tompa, in 3 distinct categories, with Gyopár Bocskai receiving a nomination for Best Scenography, composer Csaba Boros being nominated for Best Original Music, and Romeo Groza for Best Lighting Design.

Based on proposals by the theatres and Senate members, the Senate of the Romanian Theatre Association awards Gábor Tompa with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his career as a director.

The 34th annual UNITER Awards Gala will take place on May 26 in the Majestic Hall of the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest.
