TIRAMISU - AN INDEPENDENT THEATRE PERFORMANCE FROM BUDAPEST AT THE HUNGARIAN THEATRE OF CLUJ

The series of international and domestic guest performances housed by the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj, which is celebrating its 230th anniversary, continues with the independent theatre production entitled Tiramisu, from Budapest. Based on András Visky's I Killed My Mother, the identity play in cinematic decor was adapted and directed by Árpád Bogdán, under the auspices of Eclipse Film and Montázs Association. The performance will be screened on Monday, June 19 at 8 pm in the Studio Hall of the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj in Hungarian with Romanian subtitles.

"Irén Griguca, (who should be Bernadette) is a half-Gypsy, half-Hungarian girl who grew up in an orphanage in Romania. She was born on the same day, at the same hour, at the same minute, when Nasa launches Voyager 1 from Cape Canaveral with the aim of exploring the unexplored space to find answers to what all this good wondering really is. Irene Griguca, (who should be Bernadette) after the fall of the Ceaușescu regime, like Voyager, sets off into her own void to find answers to what all this really is. But to find the answers, like Voyager1, she must leave her own universe behind and venture out into the unknown interstellar space. A space where past and present, reality and the unseen, and answers and questions collide." - reads the synopsis of the performance.

Eszter Csépai is the stage actress of the performance, while the moving image roles include Júlia Fazakas, Andrea Simon, Eszter Katona, Szabolcs Thuróczy, Zoltán Tamási, Károly Kozma, Ádám Jeneses, Kálmán Káli-Horváth, Sámuel Győri-Fleischer, Nándor Hevesi, Szabolcs Veréb, László Horváth, Cristobal Campero, Máté Birkás, Szabolcs Németh and Gergely Kovács.
