A Hamletian forehead and spirit are both required from readers if they covet to read the cutthroat satires along with the grievous poems in Gábor Tompa's new book. We do know that Shakespeare was already talking about “the dressy age dotes” and “the fatness of these pursy times”, but Hamlet or, well, his late follower, Gábor Tompa, at least attempt to set right the time which is “out of joint.” And what have we, readers, been doing all this time? Let me ask you again: what have we, readers, been doing all this time?
