The performance deals with the notion of family by exploring several issues, which have existential connotations for man and society although they may seem common. Two step-brothers have to live together against their will, a young mother is confronted with her husband’s alcoholism, a brother and a sister are reunited upon the event of their mother’s death, a young couple goes through moments of crisis.

The performance questions the concept of family such as it is integrated in the present 21st century. Following the evolution of these different families, certain current issues of general social interest are scrutinized, such as homosexuality, adoption, physical and mental abuse, lack of communication etc.

“Families” is the testimonial of the most sacred and tight bonds between people. Which begs the question: what is the meaning of family today?
