The children’s poems in János Lackfi’s latest volume, Kutyából szalonna, have been set to music by Kaláka and the result is a rare harmony between music and words. Lackfi is a master of the Hungarian language, boisterously and spontaneously playful, which is why the reception of these poems is an easy and enjoyable ride. Chidren as well as grown-ups will love this show. Some of the poems will be performed by Lackfi himself accompanied by the melodic, rhythmic music, which promises a great experience.
The concert of Kaláka Group (Gábor Becze, Dániel Gryllus, Vilmos Gryllus and Balázs Radványi Balázs) will have Hungarian poet János Arany (who was born 200 years ago) in the main role. In addition to the allegorical poem A walesi bárdok, discussing the relationship between the poet and tyranny, other famous poems will be performed, e. g. Családi kör, Epilógus, Tamburás öreg úr. The band invited poet János Lackfi, whose Arany-transcript will also be presented. Kaláka’s inspired performance of these gems of Hungarian literature promises a wonderful experience.
