AN EVENING DEDICATED TO THE LIFE OF ALAINE POLCZE AT THE HUNGARIAN THEATRE OF CLUJ

On Tuesday, November 1, at 7 pm, audiences will be able to enjoy a performance by Hungarian actor Gabi Gubás entitled Teljes lényeddel: Polcz Alaine élete [With Your Whole Being: The Life of Alaine Polcz] at the Studio Hall of the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj. The performance was adapted for the stage and directed by Fruzsina B. Török.

Alaine Polcz (psychologist, thanatologist, founder of the Hospice Foundation) is one of the women who have had the greatest impact on the world around her. In her writing, she has consciously revisited what happened to her, and has done so by gently teaching her readers how to live, survive and die.

This evening of theatre focuses precisely on this attitude, leading the audience step by step along the path that will lead us all to the special something - let's call it "life technique" - that only Alaine Polcz can offer us.

She reveals all the painful episodes of her own life with incredible honesty, in the way one only talks to one's best friends. Alaine Polcz is able to forge a community whose common denominator is none other than our shared human fate. We are human beings, and we have to be able to succeed here. And Alaine Polcz gives us all the help we need.

Partner: Consulate General of Hungary in Cluj-Napoca

Tickets for the performance are available at the theatre’s ticket office (weekdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) and online at www.biletmaster.ro.
