THE HUNGARIAN THEATRE OF CLUJ RETURNS WITH OPEN-AIR PERFORMANCES ON THE SOMEŞ RIVER BANK

After a three-month forced suspension, time in which the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj still broadcast its earlier highly successful performances online on its official Facebook page, the company returns with an open-air concept, on the Someş River bank. Before the end of the current season, audiences can see the company’s actors perform live once again on the stage set up in the courtyard of the theatre, near the river bank.

The productions of Homemade and Concord Floral will be each presented twice at the end of June. Homemade will take place on June 26 and 27 at 7 pm, while Concord Floral will be performed on June 28 and 29, at 9 pm.

The Homemade project is a creative process combined with a research endeavor that intends to start a dialogue concerning the contemporary state of families living in Romania, in such a way in which it continuously monitors the event participants..

With Concord Floral, the production explores topics of general interest such as guilt, sexuality, the irreversible consequences of our reckless actions, the inevitable solitude that is part of community existence, all from the perspective of this special generation.

The series of outdoor performances will continue in early July as well, as we have prepared a surprise for our audience, kindly follow the theatre’s website and Facebook page for more information.

Tickets for the June performances can already be purchased at the theatre’s ticket office (weekdays between 10 am and 2 pm), as well as online at www.biletmaster.ro.

We would like to remind our viewers that there are a limited number of seats available due to the social distancing measures that are still in effect, while at the same we ask the public to comply with the safety recommendations in the health interest of us all.
