CELEBRATION AND CARAVAGGIO TERMINAL RETURN TO THE HUNGARIAN THEATRE OF CLUJ’S PROGRAMME

Starting with March, Robert Woodruff's two productions, Celebration and Caravaggio Terminal, will return to the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj’s programme. The premiere of Celebration took place in the 2011/2012 season, while that of Caravaggio Terminal in the 2013/2014 theatrical season. The first spring rendition of Caravaggio Terminal is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, at 8 pm, while Celebration will be presented on Saturday, March 14, at 8 pm, both in the theatre’s Studio Hall.

Caravaggio Terminal is the shared project of Robert Woodruff and András Visky. András Visky writes the following about the Italian painting giant: “Caravaggio: a contemporary artist of the most unbearable type possible. Excessively talented and furthermore, unable to lie, he finds "on the one hand, on the other hand" equivocations quite difficult.”

Alongside the director, the production was created by the following professionals: playwright András Visky, set and costume designer Carmencita Brojboiu, video projections coordinator Bertalan Bányász, composer Kata Bodoki-Halmen and stage movement coordinator Ferenc Sinkó.

Director Robert Woodruff stated the following concerning the production: ”Celebration portrays the tremendous strength and fearlessness of the individual action of overcoming this code of silence; the beauty in the courage to shine a light on the truth of our lives both personally and in our cultures.”

Cast: Ervin Szűcs, Imola Kézdi, Gábor Viola, Anikó Pethő, Zsolt Bogdán, Emőke Kató, Réka Csutak, András Buzási, Csilla Albert, Enikő Györgyjakab, Éva Imre, Ferenc Sinkó, Balázs Bodolai, Loránd Farkas, Attila Orbán, Andrea Kali, Júlia Laczó, Loránd Váta, Andrea Vindis, Zoltán Horváth, Szabolcs Balla și Alpár Fogarasi.

The next performance of the Celebration will take place on March 22, while that of Caravaggio Terminal on March 25.
