ANDRÁS VISKY IS AWARDED THE KOSSUTH PRIZE, WHILE KATI PANEK IS THE RECIPIENT OF THE JÁSZAI MARI PRIZE

András Visky, the artistic deputy director of our theatre, was awarded the Kossuth Prize on the eve of the Hungarian National Day on 15 March. He was awarded one of the most prestigious Hungarian state honours in recognition of his valuable dramaturgical work and writing, especially his masterpiece, the novel "Deportation", which exemplifies the power of love experienced in faith, the unshakable human spirit and the preservation of Hungarian identity in the midst of the indignities of dictatorship.

Kati Panek, former member of our company, was awarded the Jászai Mari Prize on the occasion of the national holiday in recognition of her outstanding acting and directing achievements.

Our heartfelt congratulations to both award winners!
