The
Hungarian Theatre of Cluj’s production of
Concord Floral, directed by
Ferenc Sinkó, will be presented at the
Colloquium for Ethnic Minority Theatres on Sunday,
October 13, at 5 pm, in the Main Hall of the
Figura Studio Theatre.
"The Colloquium of Ethnic Minority Theatre – organized every two years by Figura Studio Theatre in Gheorgheni – has been a traditional multicultural theatre festival in Transylvania for decades now. Its basic concept is that it provides opportunities for the ethnic theatre companies to meet and work together” – stated the the festival organizers.
This year's edition of the Colloquium will take place between October 11 – 20.
“
Ferenc Sinkó does not want to impose any additional points of view on the text and, implicitly, on the viewer other than what the author initially intended. It's difficult to call anything mandatory, but it would be fortunate if adults would watch this production as well: it is a bold statement on the fact that the lives of children are both complicated and much more complex than they would appear from the outside.” – writes
Bence Kiss, following the theatre’s guest performance at
PulzArt.
The production’s set and costume design was created by
Zsófia Gábor; dramaturg:
Krisztina Sipos; music and video:
József Iszlai.
