The M Studio movement theatre company of Sfântu Gheorghe will present a guest performance in Cluj, staged by the world-renowned French-Hungarian choreographer Pál Frenák. Feast will be performed on September 7, at 8 pm, at the Studio Hall of the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj by Transylvania’s only professional movement theatre company. With his M Studio team, Pál Frenák addresses an imaginary feast, a gathering, the roaming between the imagined world and harsh reality, that which is unspoken and unutterable, the relationship between apparent madness and reality. The choreography created with the specific Frenák movement system and sign language is based on the interaction between linear and spiral energy. The series of seemingly everyday type of situations have at times constructive, while at other times deconstructive points of encounter, creating a new quality that leads away from chaos, into a version of viable reality.
