THE THEATRE TENT IS PRESENT ONCE AGAIN AT THE HUNGARIAN DAYS OF CLUJ

For the fifth year in a row, the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj is present at the Hungarian Days of Cluj event with our very own Theatre Tent and its programs. This year, the tent moves back to Kogălniceanu Street, where the festival’s visitors are awaited on Friday and Saturday alike.

Performances will be also featured at the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj within the 9th edition of the Hungarian Days of Cluj: Áron Tamási’s Ősvigasztalás – directed by László Béres - will be presented by the Jókai Theatre of Békéscsaba on Thursday, August 23, at 6 pm, in the Studio Hall. The underlying theme of the drama is the tension arising from the disappearance of the organic relationship between man and nature, the work recalling the atmosphere of ancient pagan cult rituals.

On Saturday, August 25 at 7 pm, audiences will have the chance to view one of the most successful productions of the last season, namely Illegitimate, directed by Adrian Sitaru. Tickets for both performances can be purchased online at www.biletmaster.ro and at the theatre’s ticket office.

The Theater Tent will be open on Friday, August 24, and Saturday, August 25. The now traditional Flea Market will also be present, where the items of clothing, books and jewelry donated by the actors will help support a charity.

On Friday, August 24, the public is awaited to join one of their all-time favorite Theatre Tent program, the Garage Quiz. The Quiz will be followed by one adult and one children’s board game entitled “Who am I?”, featuring theatrical celebrities.

Saturday's schedule will start with a dramatic game designed for children, led by the members of the theatre. Adults are also free to join the game. Then, another very successful event, the treasure hunt will commence. Please register your team for the treasure hunt by writing an email to reka.biro@huntheater.ro.

During the Hungarian Days of Cluj, the unbearably hot weather will be lessened by the cool and friendly atmosphere of the wings of the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj. Guided tours led by actors will take place hourly between 1 pm and 4 pm, on both Friday and Saturday. Pre-registration is required for the guided tours, at krisztina.rado@huntheater.ro or at 0755145203.
