Judit László's message to the participants of the Master Class that will start very soon:

“If you want to be a stage manager, you can be sure of one thing: your life will no longer be boring. As a stage manager, you can meet a lot of celebrities - creative artists on the stage, and some of whom you probably know only from books. Chekhov was my favorite. And Vlad Mugur. Of course, I did not think so at that time :).

In 1990, as a beginner, I started attending the performances of Police. I was not the stage manager of that production, but they said I could go and learn how it’s done. It was a fantastic performance, I was delighted to have the opportunity. Gerő László, one of the greatest artists of the company at the time, asked me a question in the lounge: who are you? I'm the new stage manager, I said. Well, you will be that someday, if ever, he replied.

It's not an easy task to learn and it's not easy one to pass on. Still, I hope that the many years of experience, learning, and practice will not be lost if there is a young generation of people “hungry for the theatre”.

Dear participants, we will soon start. I'm happy to answer each and every one of your questions.

Judit László”
